This is a custom designed system for providing multiple headphone communications units used in classrom training and simulations.
The E Snake is handling 32 inputs from headset mics and providing 32 outputs for headset earpieces. Instructors' mics and other miscellaneous mics are routed through the E Desk along with the 32x32 CobraNet ins and outs from the E Snake.
Whirlwind engineers also designed and fabricated custom 16 channel headphone amps specifically for this application.
By creating presets in the E Desk, various scenarios can be preconfigured and presented to the class instantly without the need for mechanical patching or relays.
This gives complete flexibility, not limited by traditional analog routing. |
